4/23/2024 0 Comments Enchanted portals video gameHexapoda is by the same developers as Overdriven Evolution but it's definitely a much simpler and more focused experience. Here's a stylish monochrome shoot 'em up with insects and branching paths so when you're ready, let's take off to Hexapoda. Overdriven Evolution gameplay video → Overdriven Reloaded: Special Edition Review Hexapoda Review Xbox One ★★★☆☆ I'm surprised how jam-packed Overdriven Evolution is, especially considering that the core experience is entertaining enough on its own. From daunting boss fights to quirky scenarios and clever stage designs to discovering space cows there's a lot to do here and it's all a ton of fun. Another great inclusion is the selection of modes and extras where you can play with 4 players, solve puzzle maps, collect artifacts, and try your best in a variety of challenges and difficulty options. Meanwhile, you can blast a powerful laser that lowers your health as it's being used which is a nifty risk/reward implementation. You play it by shooting at enemies while dodging projectiles and you'll also have to swap colours in order to remove coloured obstacles and such. Overdriven Evolution is a challenging vertical shoot 'em up that even though it features a wide playfield which I normally don't like, it manages to stay tight and focused which is a huge relief. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of that laser blast I love a good ol' shoot 'em up and Overdriven Evolution is a colourful one that will thoroughly put your shooting skills to the test. 30XX gameplay video → 20XX Review Overdriven Evolution Review Xbox One ★★★★☆ I thoroughly enjoyed 30XX and the thing is there's always more to play with its open-ended nature and clever roguelike structure. I also love how much variety there is within the stages what a great game! □ Thankfully, the core gameplay is spot-on for 2D action with plenty of platforming and combat scenarios and the bosses are impressively challenging so claiming their weapons is always a sweet reward. Throw in co-op for 2 local or online players and you're left with a lot of ways to play. Also, there are 2 characters to play as with Ace basically representing Zero and Nina being Mega Man X. For starters, the main mode has a roguelike setup but you can ignore it entirely and dive straight into the structured stage-based campaign if you prefer. These shield fliers seem oddly familiarģ0XX continues the formula that its predecessor (20XX) established while offering smoother gameplay and a variety of modes and options that allow you to play it exactly as you want. If you're as much of a Mega Man fan as I am then you'll thoroughly enjoy what 30XX has to offer so charge your buster and let's play. The Making of Karateka gameplay video → 30XX Review Switch ★★★★☆ Of course, you can play it, too, as well as some other games that the developer made before which is fantastic and it all comes together to make for one cohesive package.Īs a fan of retro games and documentaries, The Making of Karateka really hit a sweet spot that I don't think any other game has before. Now, I must admit that even though I've been gaming since the '80s, I actually haven't heard of it but after learning all about how this karate-infused cinematic adventure jump-started how video game stories are presented, I quickly realised how important of a video game it is. Here, all of this is focused on 1 game which is called Karateka. The Making of Karateka is brought to you by the folks who made Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration and it's presented very much the same way where you peruse galleries full of video clips, scans, notes, photos, and more on your journey to learn all about the gaming scene from back in the day. v1d30chumz 78-26-147-81 Whether you're playing with commentary or just enjoying the action, this is great The Making of Karateka is more of a documentary than a game but if you're into the retro scene then it's quite a fantastic experience. □ The Making of Karateka Review Xbox Series X ★★★★☆ │ We here at Video Chums strive to offer the best experience and content so contact us if there is any way that we can improve. Hot darn is it an excellent time to be an indie gamer! Well, here are 8 retro-inspired indies that I played recently. Maciejewski for Rapid Fire Reviews on Septem□
